Location: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Pune, Maharashtra 

Job Type: Contract 1 Year (Extendable) 

Compensation: CTC - 27K PM

About the Role 

​

We are seeking passionate and dynamic IEC Mobilizers on contract basis to drive 

Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaigns for waste segregation, sanitation, and a garbage free city under the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal 

Corporation (PCMC) project. As an IEC Mobilizer, you will engage communities, 

conduct awareness sessions, accompany waste collection vehicles and facilitate 

behavior change for a cleaner environment!

Key Responsibilities 

​

1. Conduct door-to-door awareness campaigns on waste segregation.    

2. Mobilize residents, RWAs, SHGs, and commercial establishments towards zero-waste practices.    

3. Organize street plays, rallies, flash mobs, and workshops on waste 

management.    

4. Conduct training sessions for Safai Mitras and PCMC field staff.    

5. Promote composting awareness and decentralized waste management.    

6. Mobilizers must accompany waste collection vehicles and track segregation 

compliance.    

7. Maintain household records and submit geo-tagged reports monthly.

Eligibility Criteria 

​

1. Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Social 

Sciences, Communication, or related fields.    

2. Experience: Minimum one year of experience in IEC, behavior change 

communication, or community mobilization.    

​

Skills Required: 

​

1. Strong communication and public engagement skills    

2. Proficiency in Marathi and Hindi (English is a plus)    

3. Ability to mobilize communities and execute IEC activities    

4. Classification: All IEC Mobilizers will be categorized as skilled workers and will 

receive salaries as per PCMC’s minimum wage norms.
